Staurotypus salvinii is a species of tortoise in the Kinosternidae family. It is found in Mexico and Central America.
They are generally much larger than other species of bog turtle, reaching up to 14 inches (36 cm) in carapace length, with males being much smaller than females. They are usually brown, black, or green, with a yellow underside. Its shell is distinguished by having three distinct keels.
