The Australian green tree frog, White’s tree frog, or stubby tree frog (Litoria caerulea) is a species of anuran amphibian in the family Pelodryadidae native to Australia and New Guinea, with introduced populations in New Zealand and the United States.
The green tree frog is a large species compared to most other Australian frog species, reaching 10 cm in length. The average life span of Litoria caerulea in captivity, about 16 years, is longer than that of other frogs. Green tree frogs are docile and adapted to life near human dwellings.
