Staurotypus triporcatus is a species of tortoise in the family Kinosternidae. It is found in Mexico and Central America.
Among the common names it is called guao (Tabasco, Mexico), three loins or three keels.
They are generally much larger than other species of bog turtle, the size can reach up to 45cm (17 inches) in carapace length, with males being much smaller than females. They are usually brown, black, or green, with a yellow underside. Its shell is distinguished by having three distinct keels.
